Let's hear it, what are your goals for your next race?

What are your goals and how will you go about reaching them?
I am back training and excited about it. i redifined my goals, doing IMAZ and want to go 10:45-50 as 0:58-4-5:45-3-3:50 and hopefully get a knoa slot with that goal.

1- Consistency in training
2- New bike/increase power and speed also raised LTH to 166 raising IMpace 8 beats/min
3-Running with faster friends, increasing the pace of my runs, learning how to suffer
4- Eat a better diet, get leaner.

I seem to recall that when I paced you a bit for that LT run before Kona that you knew how to hurt quite a bit already…

If you go 10:45-50 Kona will be a no-brainer for you

Personally I would like to put together a race where I am consistent in ALL 3 SPORTS! IMAZ would be a good time to put it all together. I am starting to get antsy to start training again soon.

Train and complete my first half IM.

Increase fitness level.

Meet triathlete BF.

4:45 at Florida Half Iron.

Do good at IMWI in 06 (can’t be yet another year of heat!) 1:10/6:00/4:30. I’ve done the swim, but the rest of it is going to be hard work.

  1. focused training plan
  2. train w/ power to increase my watts
  3. run more frequently
  4. have fun while doing the above

Honu Half-5 hours-Kona slot. 40-3-2:25-3-1:49.

Improve my mental game.
Stay consistent with training.
Enjoy the suffering.
Train with some partners that will push me.
Nail the nutrition-both everyday and race day.
Slow twitch daily.

Mahalo,

I seem to recall that when I paced you a bit for that LT run before Kona that you knew how to hurt quite a bit already…
well actually I don’t train like that, I am actually lazy and settle in a very confortable pace. I need to train out of my confort zone a lot more.

These threads always work best when titled, “Look at my goals”.

hey hey hey!!! This was seriously more to make myself accountable for my goals. I had a tendency to always say “i can"t” and I changes my attitude and decided to put in my mind that “I CAN”… It wasn’t meant to be a bragging thread, more of a motivatiob thread!

uhm Marisol…if you were to get any more lean I would be frightened!

I guess my goal for my next race is just to make it to the starting line without injuries! And then of course kick all kinds of ass…

uhm Marisol…if you were to get any more lean I would be frightened!

well I need to work on the diet… I am BAD! seriously… I think it would give me more energy to be good about my nutrients. By the way, kirsten and camele did the CT ride and candace is doing it tuesday. It is SOOOO much fun, I am really pumped up!

Turkey trot race on Thanksgiving, hope to run sub 21:30 for 4 miles.

Meet triathlete BF.

Oh yeah… add that to my list as well.

Do IMC (my second ironman) and not spend my time walking and dry-heaving the second half of the run
.

4:11-:13 for the half and I think going sub 2:00 again is rather reasonable for next year assumming all goes fairly well.

And I predict no IM’s next year for me!

  1. Break 5 hours for a HIM by :30-2-2:35-2-1:45
  2. Break 30 min in a HIM swim
  3. Qual for the 70.3 championship by pacing myself better on the bike.
  4. Run under 42:00 for an Oly run
  5. Get my weight down under 145
