Okay…I am now 17 days away from my iron-distance race, not counting today. I am completely obsessed…I haven’t started checking weather yet, but I have found every race report (of any IM) I can find…I am taking notes of do’s and don’ts…I’ve tested my nutrition… no fig newtons for me after mile 70! I’ve run, I’ve biked, I’ve swam as much as my insane schedule will allow. I’ve ordered extra nutrition so that I’ve got plenty (Infinit), the bike is at the LBS getting the gears adjusted (We were jumpy on Saturday’s century)…
Now I need tips… thoughts, ideas… I know there are a gillion threads on this (I’ve searched and read them), but just in case I missed…what are your biggest MUST DO’s and MUST NOTS… I would appreciate it.
Not sure of your talent level but this can be appropriate for all levels. Barely finishing IMLOU in the required time I kept going back to what someone here said… just keep moving, every minute counts, don’t sit in transition if you can do it standing. At every level at every speed constant forward momentum… Just keep moving.
