So the Fistapooloza is under way here, and the weather has been very, very kind ot us. THose that drove in from the coasts, said it was foggy the entire way, until a couple miles from our ranch. It is in the mid 70’s, and the group has gone up the mountain, and Dan and John Cobb are doing fits in the sunshine…For those of you still out there sitting in that coastal fog, come on up, we still have this afternoons run at about 3pm, and the bar-b-q here at my place. Dan also went out and bought a projector, and is going to show an outdoor movie tonight, probably some old western…
We still have some fit times fro tomorrow, and maybe even later today…If interested, give us a call, now back to our regular fisting…
You guys really lucked out yesterday, we have a little drizzle and some wind today. However, we have a new group up here, and those that drove from SD said that it was socked in and raining the entire way, until about 5 miles from here. Then we were in an eye, and there was sunshine. It is not great, but apparently we are better off than all the coastal cities are today. The ride is going to go off here in a few minutes, but they are going to keep it under 5000ft, and closer to home in case it really turns ugly…
It was great having you guys up here, we like to show off our little slice of paradise here when ever we can. Now you know that if you need that Boulder/Tahoe feel for a couple workouts, it is just a couple hours away, and I will keep some tri tip handy for the ocasion…
Oh, and I talked to Bjorn about his ride yesterday, 4 1/2 hours, and he said he just did the mountain steady at 350 watts, in 50 minutes. Most anyone would kill to be able to ride 350 watts for that long during a long ride, but it was just steady for him. I ugess when you have done 450+ watts for that long, 350 is just a walk in the park…
Ya, I just talked to someone in Newport Beach that ran a race there this morning, and it poured the entire race…I’m hoping your sun there is the tail end of this one, and it will hit us in a couple hours…They did say this was going to be a fast moving storm, and I believe they are getting snow right now up the hill from us…Did you run the marathon???

It really is a great setup you guys have. I can see why the pro’s use it as a base camp for their training. It was nice to talk with Bjorn…good guy. Yea, he is an animal on the bike.
I think docfuel(Dick) drove up there today, say hi for me.
