First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller, who is overseeing the probe, said the statute of limitations would not bar the prosecution of D’Annunzio if investigators find corroborating evidence.
How has the SOL not run or how will it not bar the prosecution of the original teacher? When a minor is a victim of a sex crime the SOL begins when they turn 18 or become aware of the injury. Here he turned 18 approximately 12+ years ago and was aware of the injury the entire time. Texas has a 7 year SOL on these types of crimes. Does NJ not or are you aware of why the prosecutor is not concerned about the SOL? Corroborating evidence doesn’t re-open an SOL to my knowledge.
I don’t think it’s “All fun” I just think it is less likely to be actual molestation for males then it is females. Obviously any individual coerced into such a situation will be damaged by it, I just don’t think that will be the case for males as often as it will be for females.

I know nothing about NJ SOL’s, but if I understood the article correctly he was arrested at 30 and is 37 currently.

I don’t understand your point or what you are trying to say.
True but I think mental incapacity will be difficult. He clearly knew it was inappropriate/wrong in his early 20s if not sooner when he broke it off. He told his wife about it on 2nd date. He told his friend about it early in their relationship and continued to counsel each other. Your point is a good one but the tolling for this reason seems unlikely.
