Leg hair vs body hair?

Well I took the plunge and finally shaved my legs. I’ve been roadie riding for years and have never taken a bad fall, but feel that it’s bound to happen sooner or later. I wiped out on roller blades once and remember how uncomfortable the road rash was with leg hair. So I thought it best to shave. Got rid of it right up to the speedo line.

Definately do feel like a bit of a nerd at the moment but will no doubt get over my self consiousness of no having leg hair any more.

I’ve got no back hair but a chest rug that would make a grizzly bear proud. Looked in the mirror and it looked weird with a hairy chest and no leg hair. Solution was to use the electric raiser and trim down the chest hair to a short length without removing it completely. Doesn’t look so bad now.

So tell me, does everyone else go threw this body image weirdness at first after shaving?

Cerveloguy,

It is sounds like eating a cake or good cheese, you just cut a bit more everytime. I think the chest trimming you already did is enough, otherwise you will have to maintain it shaved on a regular basis. This may give you lots of trouble, itchy skin, and red spots.

It is good news about your back being smooth. Checkout this link:

thats exactly what i did. shave the legs and trim down the chest hair. the other day my wife says to me: how can you use that razor of yours to shave your legs, its so heavy. try mine, i just put a new blade in it. isn’t she great??
