Leader Tri/Time trial frame

Does anyone have any experience with the Leader Tri/Time Trial frames that are on ebay?

.

hey i seriously considered it, but decided not to buy. the only reason is because i need to do more work on the engine before buying another bike…see the thread

I just bought it. Raced it for the first time 2 weeks ago. Very comfortable and stiff frame. Not sure it handles better than my QR, but so far it’s everything I expected. Comes std at 78 degrees. I have it at 80-81 degrees and it fits.

They looked cool but you have to buy a fork and a build kit so you’re over $1000 for a bike off of the web. For the same money you can go to your bike shop and get something today that has a warranty and support.

If you had a bike that you just wanted to upgrade the frame, it might be a good deal. I’ve seen them in person and they look good and the people that were riding them were happy.

Jaretj hits the spot. See my review (link is in SAC’s post).

I think this is a steal of a frame if you already have the components and just need the frameset. (Frame + fork + headset for $550). I think the complete bikes are a pretty good deal, too although I don’t think they’re still available.

EDIT

Leader DOES offer a limited lifetime warranty

yes, I costed it out at the time of the earlier thread, cheapest I could get was about $800, and that’s without an aero fork. With the aero fork, close to $1k. A new Cervelo Dual is only $500 more… though I wonder how much the 2006 Duals with Dura-Ace are going to be…
