I just had my first pedicure and liked it. After years of running and biking my feet have become quite blistered, calloused and very rough. My girlfriend finally convinced me to just go in and they can “sand” down the rough spots. it actually felt pretty nice to get done and im sure i will go back.
…wow…
I would just like to inform you that your man card has been revoked.
Have a nice day.

I’ll ask the ST questions:
- How will this affect your run?
- How does the removal of calluses affect your CdA, and inherently, your 40K TT pace?
- Remember: if it looks faster, it is. Does it look faster to have disgusting feet or well-maintained feet?
Oh man…once you go down that road… :

Soooo you got rid of your callouses so that you can get blisters in those same spots again. That makes remarkable sense.

can you post your bike fit before and after the pedicure, so we can critique your new position?
The removal of the tissue from the bottom of your foot could have a tremendous impact on your bike fit due to the effective shortening of your leg length. You may need to lower your saddle height.
Good on you! Sometimes you need to pamper yourself. Nothing beats a mani/pedi day spent with your girlfriend. Well, other than a mani/pedi day without your girlfriend ![]()
Shoulda gone for the leg wax at the same time.
Brad
My teammate once made the mistake of getting leg and body wax 2 days before the American Triple-T… bad move I’ve never seen anyone in so much discomfort before.
Quote 2 hours into every race that weekend - “Every hair folacule feels like it is on fire!”
actually you answered the question before i could. i found that after the pedi my seat was in fact too high due to such a large build up. those few mm really changed my position. i think i will need to post before and after pics for all the fit experts out there.
i figured that by going with her i can always use the “she dragged me there” as opposed to going on my own, that might seem a little bit well you know, not that theres anything wrong with it
.
thought about getting a brazilian but figured i had already immasculated myself enough for one day

Do you get a a 30% discount if you only have 7 toe nails?
Nothing beats a mani/pedi day spent with your girlfriend.
I can think of at least one thing that is a lot better time spent with your girlfriend
Ok, so we have a bunch of guys who shave their legs, get massages, and run around in spandex on a regular basis debating the manliness of getting a ped?
If it works for you who cares what others think…at least that’s the rationale with compression socks.
I am a Reconnaissance Marine and many of my friends and myself included have gotten them throughout the years to protect and take care of our feet.
Nothing wrong with it at all.
If your feet get fucked up, you are fucked.
While the abuse triathlon training puts the feet through is weak in comparison, i see nothing to laugh at. It really does help your feet.
now i feel better. marines are the manliest guys around so if you have done it its ok by me
