A problem I seemed to have when riding, especially riding at race paced effort, is that I start to cramp in my right lat just below my shoulder blade. Anyone experience this? Could this be a position problem?
No one else have this problem?
I’m guessing your pads are too close together for your size and flexibility. I had all sorts of problems until I gave up on trying to be super narrow in front.
Otherwise you may adapt given enough time or you may need to relax the upper body more.
There is not a problem I know of when it comes to cramping that isn’t solved by more core work. Hit your core hard (or harder than you have been) and see if that doesn’t help. Most issues of cramping on the bike and run in the upper body that I have had or have known have been improved or solved by improving core strength.
