Well, today we finally have a closing date on our house (we already bought and moved into our new house), so we will finally not have three mortgages to carry: it’s Wednesday. So, I now can afford to do Timberman 70.3. Of course, finding a place to stay for me, my wife, and two young daughters is problematic, at best, at this late time. I’m looking to go up on Thursday, return Monday or so. I’m willing to have to travel up to an hour Sunday morning, although my kids aren’t going to be too happy to get up at 4am or whatever.
Any assistance, suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreciated. I ordered a De Soto T1 with 2nd day air delivery this morning. Help!
Have you posted on the race web site? It is possible that someone is unable to compete due to injury, schedule etc who might be interested in shifting their lodging over to you.

I tried registering, but the moderator has not activated my login. No luck. No word back from my plea to KJ for assistance, either. Might have to go the camping route, but I’m stumped how I’m gonna fit everything I need (including two kids) into a Passat Wagon, even with the bike on top.
Hey Ken
I PM’ed you, and activated your username on the forum…
As someone mentioned, call Laconia-weirs.org…People do cancel all the time…
Excellent advice, thanks. They gave me a list of places they say have availability. On to the phones!
I have always had luck at the Red Roof Inn in Laconia. It is about at the turn around for the bike course. It is about 25min from the race but is clean and cheap.
