some journalists are so full of shit…a doping test the day before the Tour is as surprising as seeing bikes during the Tour…
Especially when you have a man with a record like Armstrong (ie seven wins). It’s just like testing a stage winner… bit of a no brainer I should think. It’s not like you’re going to test numbers 77 and 108…
The account I saw painted the test more like an “out-of-competition” random test. Still not really a problem. It just coincidently involved Lance, and occured on the day before the TdF. Still no big deal. He could have been back in Texas and his number would still presumably have come up. Perhaps some of these journos are trying to paint a conspiracy by French authorities…

Hey, as the self-proclaimed “most tested athlete in the world”, Lance should be happy for yet another opportunity to prove he’s clean. What the big deal…he’s gotta pee somewhere, sometime…just aim straight and shut up and ride.
Well, the test was performed by the a French organization unassociated with WADA. Seems quite shitty, but I’m sure it’ll just make Lance go faster.
the tests in the Tour are ALWAYS performed by this french org. and never done by WADA…
My point was that it wasn’t the normal “random” test Armstrong (and others) are given by WADA.

He was fun to watch, and fun to see the excitement of the French people. It lifted the tour.
