Did my 24hour post-op examination today…regular lasik, not wavefront.
20/20 both eyes, -.25 diopter
I still have some halos around bright lights, and is still a little hazy, and it seems to be fluctuate, but all that is normal, and should clear up in a month or less. I have a follow-up exam in another week. No pain, no dry eyes, although I’m using quite a bit of the artificial tears.
Needless to say, I’m extremely happy with the results.
Woke up this morning…looked for the alarm clock, all I saw was this haze…OH CRAP!!!..then I realized that I was looking through the gauze tape that held the faceshields over my eyes. 4:18am…what a sweet sight.
My vision was perfect the morning after, but it took about 4-5 months before my eyes felt 100%. I still have days where they’re a little off, but they feel great. I had trouble with dryness in one eye for about 5 months. After long bike rides my vision would be really foggy in my left eye for a few hours. Like I said, though, this went away.
Six months later and I’d say it’s the best investment I ever made.
Glad to hear you’re OK. I had mine in 2000. Best $1500 I ever spent. I couldn’t tell the difference between my two dogs before, but after I was 20/20. Halos were normal for a few months and small print was tough for about 3 weeks so don’t be surprised. Small Times New Roman was a bitch on the computer for a while. The only thing I have an issue with now is if I rub my eyes, they take a minute to come completely clear again vision wise. Highly recommended.
