Has Anyone heard about Floyd? Does anyone know when he finds out his fate?

Jason

After the Tour. They don’t want last year’s doping scandal to overshadow this year’s doping scandals.

LOL! Hilarious!

He’s smart to keep his yap shut
Check out www.tdottriathlon.com, they have the first chapter of his book posted, the first line is…“I have nothing to hide.”
.

My guess is that he is going to beat it, and the timing of letting that out now would just be disasterous…Lots of guys have beat his exact situation, and they just can’t find the way to the guilty verdict that they really want to pin on him…It will look really bad now that they are dropping ridersand teams, left and right, and then Floyd gets off. Other than a few hard core fans, most of us believe that he did dope, but are not happy with the protocals for his case… Much of the world looks at us Americans as a funny bunch. We will catch a murdering rapist in the act, bloddy knife in hand, and let him go because some rookie cop forgot to read him his rights. It doesn’t make much sense to the rest of the world, but we go to great lenghts to protect our population here. We will let 20 guilty guys go, to try and not convict 1 innocent…And with all that, look how many innocents we are letting go with the onset of DNA evidence…Anyway, that’s my theory, any others???

I don’t think the US system lets murdering rapists caught in the act off because a rookie cop forgot to read someone his rights. One simply cannot be convicted because of evidence obtained because someone didn’t read the rights (or some other unconstitutional violation such as searching or seizing without a warrant). Evidence obtained legally is fair game for use in a trial.

you’re not talking about guantanamo bay, right?

that is really funny

Most funny post of the day.

Monty was talking about our own citizens. All them foreign folks are completely fair game!

I think he is also talking about trials. People sent to Guantanimo Bay don’t get trials. If they ever decide to give them trials then they might set a few bad guys free to prevent keeping a single innocent man. Or they might hold on to a few innocent men to prevent releasing a single bad guy. Who knows?

Well I see in the news today that we let off a baby rapist off, because we could not find an interpeter for him…And turns out he went to high school here for years, and speaks really good english, according to his neighbor who talks to him everyday…Case dismissed, and he is as free as a bird…But I imagine he is hiding form the chlds parents right now…Lots of screwy stuff goes on in the courts because of procedures that are not followed, it’s just our system
.

I don’t think the events of the last week will help Floyd.

The system is totally flawed - until you’re wrongfully accused. Then it seems to work out OK.

Alas, I’d rather see 10 guilty people go free than 1 innocent person be locked up for life.

I agree completely, and I’m really glad for the new DNA evidence. It is sorting out a lot of our past errors, and catching some that we never thought we would get. Except for the OJ trial, it usually makes sense to the jurors that a 1 in a trillion chance = impossible/ no reasonable doubt…

Everyone deserves a fair trial and everyone deserves to know his/her rights upon arrest. It doesn't matter what the crime is or the defendant's history, everyone has the right to a fair trial -- which means knowing your rights.

The fact that cases get dismissed does not speak to the inadequacies of the legal system, but rather to one of the strengths of the legal system. If the state were able to prosecute and convict anyone without the defendant knowing their rights, the state would have too much power.

What if the 10 guilty people rape 5 people and kill 5 people after being set free?

Would have been better off to put 1 innocent guy in jail maybe

And if that one innocent guy happened to be you? Are you willing to take one for the team?

You beat me to the punch Steve! Amazing how the convict them all types think the system is screwed until you put them or their loved ones on the wrong side of things.

Would you be willing to be the victim of the released murderer?

I am not a convict them all type sir. I do not appreciate that accusation.
