It appears that the closest bike has the hed extensions while the one aside it has the true bontrager bars.
Won’t make a lot of difference. It’s still a comparatively "slow"frame.
I bet you it’s the fastest frame for Lance though.
why are you putting so much stock into that one test?
I went over this with softride; the data presentation is luaghable, and softride refused to present clear pictures of the bikes tested. They read this forum, and chig even “called me out” when i challenged this press release. They still refused to reply with the pictures and data i requested.
It’s very important that clear pictures of the bike as tested be readily available.
So much for captions.
One look at the seats and I knew they weren’t LA’s bikes…
Also, most of the “A” riders received a custom frame with the bracketed seat post…the “slackers” (tee hee) got the production frame.
As for Softride, I don’t dispute the data. But, Lance can’t ride a Softride and Softride can’t afford Lance…
What do you mean ‘bracketed’ seatposts?
LA’s TT bikes don’t have a seat post…the seat is bracketed (sp?) to the frame.
The seat on the one in the background is bracketed…
I agree the forground bike might not be lance’s, but the one in the back could be. It looks like his favorite Concor Light but only with Bontrager marking.

Nope, those are two different size bikes. Look at the drop from saddle to TT. Compare TT lengths.
His fit hasn’t changed that much.

You know…Cyclingnews has a crapload of errors in their photo captions, particularly in the Tech articles like this. I wonder why they can’t get their facts straight?
The trek TT bike only comes in one tope tube length. The “sizes” are only different seat tube lengths. At least for the first few years production.

Concor Lite…
Okay yes concor lite, basically the same seat. I’m guessing the reason you’re saying the one in the back isn’t Lance’s is because it is a Bontrager. I read somewhere that Bontrager is now the full component sponsor. Which, if you look at early season training camp photos you will see they now use Bontrager Stems/Bars instead of Deda like previous years. Likewise, I think that Bontrager does their saddles, and has simply made a replica of the Concor (Lite). The saddle on the TT bike looks nearly identical to a concor, unless there is some chracteristic I’m missing.
I’m guessing the front one is Azevedo’s as it looks like a Portuguese flag and his name. I’m sure he’ll have a seat mast instead of a seat post this year.
