Fantastic ride. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ullrich caught and passed in a TT. Any doubts about Lance being ready for this Tour have got to be smashed, and I bet he’s especially glad since they made him (and only him) take an extra drug test yesterday. Awesome ride from Zabriskie too. Almost a minute to the next group of riders.
Who was it a few days ago who said Lance wasn’t very good at tt?
While I think the changing wind helped Zabriski get the win the wind didn’t change the outcome of the GC contenders. Looks like the race is for 2nd, and a good race it will be I suspect.

I would like to point out that one can’t pull out of ones pedals without pulling up on the backstroke. Wonder why Lance would pedal that way in an important tt when it has been proven by others that the best way to go fast is just to push harder? Clearly he could be even better if he would only follow the advice of these other experts, and his seat is probably too high also. Imagine the lost potential here!
you’ve got to be kidding me. seriously now, there are plenty of ways to unclip without “pulling up on the upstroke.”
Anyone else think T-mobile should toss Jan under (or through) the team car and annoint Vino as team leader? Lance has always been a better climber than Jan, and now just handed him his ass in a TT, whereas Vino has given Lance trouble in the mountains in Tours past. If I’m Walt, it’s all in for Vino.
