There was a big crash that took down 20-30 riders. At least that what is seems like based off cyclingnews.com’s live coverage.

cyclingnews live coverage said the crash was at mile 4, he had gotten back on fairly quickly & kept riding, then abandoned at mile 13…

That has got to suck, being on the deck two days in a row. Expecially at his age. It is ironic that when teams ride around one or two guys to “protect them” and when they go down the whole team is down. Happened a couple days ago in the Giro too.
