Lance & Discovery Team wrist band

What is the white wrist band they are wearing today? Check out the New King Of the Hill. Do you think he is stuffed with a ball of socks?

It says FABIO on it; in honor of his former teammate Fabio Casartelli, who died in a crash on this exact stage 10 years ago today.

.

Are sure it not for Fabio that pec flexing man god who turned me onto I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter spray?

Tomorrow on the rest day, there will be a ceremony at his monument since it will be ten years ago exactly that he died. Lance will take a helicopter to be there.

Wow… 10 years. Seems like yesterday. I remember the following stages. Brought tears to my eyes. And THAT, my friends, is what PROFESSIONAL sports is all about.

Isn’t that George Hincappie?

"And THAT, my friends, is what PROFESSIONAL sports is all about. "

is all about? … It would lot better if no one had to die.

George loyally backing Lance till the very end. Even when he’s lost his bike and the clothes of his back and left with only his undies.

At least the guy doesn’t seem happy to see Lance…

I meant the respect that was paid. Geez…

It’s not an isolated case where someone from the Pro peloton dies from a crash in a race and respects are always paid. Although it’s probably going to happen sooner or later again, I just wish that it wouldn’t.

Robbie does have the best quads I’ve seen.
