Yeah, that guy is tough and just finishing that race is an incredible feat of endurance!!! Those stages are very very hard and you have to be ready for that humidity. Maybe La Ruta will start catching the interest of more of the top riders now that TF won it. It’s great for the sport…

Yeah, I was following the race report/photos on websites. The amputee is amazing!!! I remember him last year.
I have ridden a lot over there. Those conditions are terrible!! Replacing brake pads everyday, cable, housings. The stuff just starts to rust after a few hours of not riding!!! I rode part of stage one last year about a week before La Ruta started…(just to get a feel for it…). It’s amazing… very hard to get traction at all and hiking it gets your cleats packed with that clay-like mud. Huge respect for all of them!!!
