I am headed down to Lake Norris TN for an epic batchelor party this weekend. I am pretty sure we will be doing lots of partying and other bad things all weekend, but I am going to try and squeeze in a few runs and swims anyway.
Anyone know the area and can tell me a little about it?
I work about 10 minutes from the lake. Their are some good running and mountain biking trails around the lake. The road riding is not as good. It is a beautiful area. If you want you can drive to the other side of the Knoxville area and ride some great roads in and around the Smokies.

Cosmo is right, road cycling is not real good there. If you are willing to drive about 30 minutes via car to Knoxville or Oak Ridge there are good places to drive.
Norris is one of the areas to mtn bike. If you mtn bike much then I would suggest this. The trails there are great for running too. The lake is very clean and nice for swimming.

I’ll find out tomorrow. A guy at work actually lives in the Norris community and is an avid mountain biker and hiker. He should know where to get the info. I’ll post as early as possible.

Go into the town of Norris. The town is small but it does have a library. (located across from the fire hall and I’m told you can’t miss it) The library has the maps for free. I got this from a Norris resident so hopefully its accurate
