Wow! I guess I’m not surprised. Folks have complained about his races for years now. I’ve done a few of them and I can assure you that every negative thing that anyone has said about his Extreme Sport triathlons are true. It’s a shame because the event locations are all fantastic.
Haven’t gotten the message, but I have not signed up yet either. I have to say I am not surprised, but I am pissed about it. It is the only half I am planning on this year and it is now nothing more than a glorified training day. Such a great venue, completely ruined by Frank Dobbs.
Wow. Hopefully, this pushes Frank Dobbs into action. His races are really convenient, but have become too unpredictable to bother entering. I wish someone would just buy him out.

Wassup! The wife and I miss Chicago! I signed up for Eagleman for 2008 with the foolish hopes of qualifying for Kona. I’ll make you a deal. I will proudly wear my CTC jersey if I make it to the island.
I remember my first tri was a Frank Dobbs special. I was a timid swimmer at best and the water condidtions didn’t make it any better. The seaweed was sooooo thick that I looked like Swamp Thing coming out of the water. Also, the bike course was not cut off to traffic at all. I don’t mind it when I’m biking to work, but not during a race!!
