I’m racing in my first tri this wknd and have noticed that training has made me incredibly randy. I have always had a fairly healthy appetite, but never to this extent.
Has/is this happened/happening to any other ladies?
Why do I feel like this is a nice planted thread to get some off topic discussion going…hmmm…well, I’m sure the ladies get randy, since it always seems to be cold at race starts…
There have been posts on this in the past. Basically that seems to be the case for most of us (female and male). There are different theories about why: physical activity releases endorphins, makes people feel better about themselves, energizes and invigorates, etc. Luckily my boyfriend is my training partner, so it works out well for us…kj
I can’t help. Unfortunately the exact opposite happens to me. I am just too exhausted. . . makes my husband wish he had married a couch potatoe at times!
Mileader, not trying to get any off topic discussion started…this is a genuine issue for me. I find it sometimes difficult to concentrate on my training b/c I’m focused on that so much. But I’m holding out b/c I believe Mohammed (sp?) Ali held out b4 his fights for a reason.
I can narrow the population of who this might be based on the randiness: it can’t possibly be my wife. The balance of the population I can’t comment on.

And did all of you guys totally ignore the subject? I really wanted to hear from women on this issue. None of my girlfriends have any idea what I’m talking abt and I was hoping to hear from women who are going or have gone thru this…
YOu can’t really expect to only get a response from women when you post, ‘Ladies only, please’, can you? That is an invitation for trouble! Although I am of no help, my girl friends that have taken up training have commented on their increasing ‘randiness’. Now that I think of it, they are my single friends too! I think that might be why they are so randy, lack of regular $#%^ and a build up of too much endorphins!
