Anyone catch the “Road to the Tour” and 2004 Crit International coverage? On another post this week we discussed the wheel issue on which was faster zipp or hed. I happened to catch the end of it and saw LA’s run on the TT segment. It was plain as day that he was still running a Trispoke in the front. This time they even left the HED 3 stickers on it.
On the “Road to the Tour”, Chris Carmicheal(I know this is wrong) of CTS was on and said they had a few minor changes to the 04 bike. The most notible is the handlebar, which had straight extensions. He also mentioned wheel changes. What are they? Is it they are leaving on the stickers? Now the other question I have is the frame. All the pics we have seen on velo news and others, the 04 framest is grey like the Equinox 11. Well, on the broadcast last night it had the same paintjob that is on the 03 I have and the same that is shown for the 04 on Trek’s website. What is the deal? It appeared that the bike had the new fork for 04 with the dropouts at the front of the fork rather than the back.
Any help would be great.
