Kuota Kueen K rear brake set up (crank arm rubbing on cable)

I just bought the Easton EC90 carbon crankset for my Kuota Kueen K. The left crank arm is different than my DA and FSA K-force light. It installs further over the bb thus rubbing against the rear brake cable. Has anyone that owns this frame or similar frame with this same rear brake set up done any modifications to move the cable under or away from the left side of the bb. Are there any other options?

Thanks.

I have the same problem with my Zipp cranks on the Kueen K…In desperation, my low-tech and perhaps risky solution, has been to bend the heavy gauge housing and cable inward before a race. It clears the crank…just barely.

Do you still run the flexible noodle with barrel adjuster or did you use something else?

Everything else is the same (noodle, barrel adjuster, etc.).

Do you have any pics you could send? I tried using a zip tie to pull the cable over to the bb but there is really no way to secure the zip tie.

send pic to pmaaa@cox.net

Thanks.

I’ll try and send you a photo asap…I didn’t have to bend the cable much at all…no need for zip ties or anything to create enough clearance.

If you got a photo of the rear brake set-up for the Kueen K would you fwd to me as well? dlee@airshareselite.com
Having the same problem you describe. Also not sure of best way to route the external portion of the cables up front…truly seems like a bird’s nest up there. Would like to see how you did that. thx!
