Kuota Kredo: Wicked light

Saw one of these at my bike shop, and just had to “tap” it and lift. Wicked light. I would be afraid to ride it. But awesome pretty. Fortunately, it was so expensive, I couldn’t even be tempted.

Don’t be afraid, it’s one the the best “big” bikes out there. By that, I mean it’s one of the stiffest bikes I’ve ever experienced in larger sizes. Too often I find frames which get wimpy when they get to the larger sizes. The Kredo does not do this. Underrated frame, IMO.

I rode an XL during the past year and it was nothing but strong, stiff, and reliable.

This was an “M”. Can you shoot me 6K my brother? I’ll catch you on payday–I’ll cash my check at the lunch wagon.

6K?! What the heck was on that bike? I think they’re a bit on the high side, and I still have problems with the look of them, but slap some Ultegra on one and it should be much more resonably priced.

Actually, Kuota needs to pay attention to full-bike pricing a bit more. Most high-end carbon frames with an Ultegra kit are $3000.00 - $3500.00; I believe a Kredo would be closer to $4K. I remember last spring they advertised a Centaur equipped Kredo at something like $3400 - not good when a bike like the R2.5 is $3200 with Chorus.

I have two XL Kredo’s - one only has about 300 miles on it if anyone is interested. I’ve been thinking about putting it in the classifieds, but have been reluctant to part with it.

i fooled around with them at the shop too. very sweet. seemed light but i couldn’t get any flex out of the back. that is a good thing. paintjobs are nice. simple yet effective.

I’ve got a new '06 Kredo for sale. Seat post has not even been placed into the seat tube. It’s an XL (57 top tube). I’m asking $1790 frame/fork/seatpost/headset — all brand-spanking-new ($700+ savings). velosurfer@comcast.net
