Kudos to Rudy Project and repair question

Took my first road spill a couple weeks ago (car pulled out, brakes slammed, and since there was no bike lane it was either the car next to me or the curb, and I chose the latter). Anyway, the SX’s busted pretty good and sliced my cheek, so I called RUDY in hopes that I could at least get replacement lenses and maybe find some frames on eBay.

They asked me to send the whole thing in, and they’d swap out the broken arm, as well as replace the lenses (for $14.95, which is standard)-I just got them back-- they gave me a brand spankin’ new pair! How cool is that?

Maybe the blood on the frames did it, who knows? They’ve got me evangelizing about it, so add them to my list of preferred companies, up there with Nordstrom and Peet’s Coffee.

On an aside, is there a recommended method to repair holes in one’s bib shorts? I had a rather nice, new pair of Santini Gel bibs, but they now sport 2 tears in the quad. Any advice?

good to know! i sure love my glasses…they are worth every penny, and even better to know they care about their consumers. yay!

would it be stupid to put patches over the holes? or, just stitch them up by hand?

sorry to hear about your wreck by the way…glad you made it through ok…

without a doubt Rudy Project is the only company in my 20yrs in the sport to get me away from my Oakley woes. Not only do their glasses fit me better but they look like they won’t break at the nose bridge as a result of my large head prying them apart. Ans as the above poster mentioned…their customer service is…well…certainly not Oakley (thank heavens for that). I will also join the chorus of loyal fans in the Rudy Project choir. Preach it brothers and sisters. Say no to the evil O empire.
