Since I am one of the first to bitch when this certain bike shop doesn’t do things the way I think they should, I think I should also commend them when they do something good.
My wife came in last week with a bike that had shift problems after a crash at St. Anthony’s. As soon as she said “crash”, they were all over that bike, making sure it was safe to ride and fixing the shift problem and installing new handle bar tape on the spot for a nominal fee.
The reason I don’t mention the shop’s name is that I don’t want to get them in trouble with other customers for not making her leave her bike and wait in the queue as I’m sure there were many other bikes waiting for service.

I’m sure the fact that she is pretty and blonde had nothing to do with this special treatment.
