I never commented on the point you were trying to make. Only pointing out the irony in someone who wants to ban a book complaining about censorship. Was it wrong for Britain to deny him entry based on his intent to distribute a film? Probably. (But given I’m not a Brit, freedom of speech in Britain is not high on my list of prioritities.) Do I feel sorry for the Dutchman? No. (Kind of hard to generate any sympathy for anyone from a country that produced Ruud Gullit.)
Perhaps the real issue with the world is fundamentalist or radical anything. It seems like there is all kinds of violence performed in the name of religion and “ologies”.

Australia, with one of the highest proportional immigration rates in the world, has no religious test whatsoever. Applicants for immigration are not asked their religion, it plays no part in immigration policy, nor should it. No-one has ever been deported for their religion and no-one can legally be “fucked off whence they came” once they are citizens.
If you tried being honest you’d still be a dickhead, but perhaps marginally less so.
Right here I’m just for immigrants who have the willingness and ability to intergrate into their newly adopted country. I agree with the OP that if they’re not they shouldn’t qualify.
