Many Olympic distance races are ending in sprints. For example Reed, Potts and Bennet. Even the ITU circuit saw many this year. 70.3 sprints are becomming more common. Potts and Crowie sprinted at California 70.3 last year.
Maybe it’s just me but I feel Kona is gonna be a tight race this year. Alexander, Terenzo, Rasmus, Potts, McCormack to name a few are all so closely matched. For the hell of it I’m gong to predict a sprint or at least a final mile break for the win this year.
It should be a great finish, too bad about Henning and Pott’s injuries has probably ruled them out as serious contenders. I think it’ll be down to just Macca and Crowie…that should still be fun to watch - they’ve been racing each other since they were 15.
What kind of pizza do you like? I like ham & pineapple and that’s definitely better than any flavor that you may or may not like.
I’m into one toppings - either broccoli, pepper or tomatoes.
When I"m feeling extra crazy I’ll get bacon.
I especially like bacon pizza while debating different scenarios regarding races that haven’t happened yet and have 4,000 different scenarios that can play out. It’s kinda cool.
Nice of you to include Terenzo in there. He’s young and it’s his first Kona so many would simply write him off as needed 3-5 years to make the necessary discoveries but I think he might be a guy who can be in top 3 contention in his first go. Perhaps because of his youth & inexperience (kona specific) alone rather than in spite of it.
