Anyone know where I can get a list of names, placings, times of the Kona qualifiers from IM Lou? I skipped the rolldown meeting on Monday and would love to see how far the rolldown went. In all the NAS IM events, this is typically found in the results, but comprehensive results like this are not yet posted for IM Lou.

There was not a lot of rolling down. As far as I remember, the M35-39 had 6 slots and 3 were taken (including the one I took, but the winner as well as one Army and one Navy person who already qualified). The 3 slots rolled down to maybe 10th or so.
M40-45 (or maybe it was M45-49) only had about 2 slots roll down, but they rolled quite a bit. Turns out that one of the highest age groups (M70-74) didn’t take a slot, so it rolled down to M45-49 again and this one rolled down pretty far, maybe to 14th until a guy standing right next to us broke out in tears…definitely made his wish come true. Once the slot rolls below a certain point there is always a good chance that the people didn’t stick around because they thought they had no shot, so it was great to see this slot roll pretty far down.
All other slots were gobbled up very quickly.
Did you happen to see the women’s pro slot? I know Nina needed that slot and she came in second, but I am unsure as to whether Heather already has one/doesn’t need one/etc. Did Nina get the slot?
I was actually running next to Nina Kraft on the first lap when she yelled to the then fourth place Pro Women that she should pick it up because she could have her slot. She definitely didn’t take her slot in the roll down.
I doubt that she feels like showing up in Kona right now…
Bummer for her, because the whole slot episode in Brazil really sucked. I was hoping she’d recover from that in Louisville.
