Kofi was shocked, shocked at the preliminary Oil for Food report that indicated Sevan was a crook.
Gee, the rest of the thinking world has known this for many months.
I sure am glad we have the sharpest knife in the drawer to run that august organization. He did such a great job in Rwanda. Maybe we can get him to serve another term.
The U.N. is such a sham now. It is very disappointing. I know ow to fix it though- they just need to be renamed:
How about, “Nations for Pursuit of their Own Agenda at All Costs”. The NPOAC.
What I get a good laugh at is the people who say the war in Iraq was illegal because the UN didn’t bless it. The idea that the UN has some moral standing in the world to make such determinations is a real hoot.
Of course Kofi was also shocked and disappointed to learn that his son had been getting paid for sitting on his ass for years by the company at the heart of the scandal. Poor Kofi. I hope his heart can stand these repeated shocks.
If there is a more corrupt organization, I would like to know what it is.
