I just got home from the Hospital for Special Surgery, NYC. I had a large tear of the maniscus repaired and it feels great. Doctor says that I can ride the bike gently by the end of the week and that I'll be running in two weeks. Some of you might remember that I had major open surgery on my left knee in January. That injury happened in November, so it's been along time, but if I can start to run in two weeks I'll still have time to salvage the second half of the short course season.
Wish me luck!
good luck! you’ve earned this–just go slow (you know I have to put at least one nag behind the good luck).

Good luck to you! The HSS did a total hip on me almost exactly 5 years ago, and I feel tremendous still - despite all the wear and tear that I do to it. They were outstanding. Great doctors. I think about my surgeon all the time and thank him for the pain-free active life i have now. Hope you’re back at it soon, but in the meantime take it easy.
