I have always experienced a little knee pain after cycling. Many have suggested a Professional fit. I have had myself fitted by the shop I bought the bike at (twice), but they only took my ,measurements, and never worked with me on the bike.
I know I turn to big of a gear when riding, I am a masher for sure. But it only resulted in discomfort until now.
Ever since my race I have had some nagging knee pain. Doesn’t get worse when I run, but it is there.
Today, during a run the knee got kinda tight. and I had to walk back to the trailhead for the last 2 or 3 miles of a 14 miler.
The pain is “behind” the knee cap and on the top and “inside of the front” of the knee on the quad. Today it felt tight AND sore. It hurt to stretch the knee.
I iced it today took some ibuprofen, and the pain went away. (still there underneath) I am going to stay off the bike and running path for a couple of days for sure. I am going to go have a professional fit.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Did it last long?
I am thinking of dropping a cycling day of my weekly training, and adding a run.
David.
