King of the cheap TT bikes is?

I assume the king is my model the P2SL (now the P1) n the sub $2k range. Any guesses on whats the hottest ticket for us not running Fortune 500 companies.

I saw a whicked sale today on a BMC TT02 frame/fork/headset/seat post. almost made me apply for a credit card and do the bad thing. I again went on the hunch that my bike is king and faster than a that bike. True aero tubes on the Cervelo and more like a oval tubeset on the TT02.

What other bikes (sub $2K) or framesets (sub $800) can out aero drag the P2SL (P1)?

According to some recent testing by QR, the Seduza can actually outperform the P2C, and is only just a bit behind the P3C. All for a mere $2k.

Can it be run shallow seat angle by chance?

http://quintanarootri.com/G&C/seduza/seduza_spec.html Hmmm…maybe not…

the king of cheap tt bikes is the model “used”…

Of course the rider has nothing to do with it…

Thats so true. Some day a DA, B2, SLice or P2 or P3C will come my way!!

arguably as aerodynamic is probably the Trek Quinox 9. It appears to have a bigger seattube cutout, it has semi-bladed seatstays, and a bit of a headtube fairing. My assumption of it’s quickness is only a hunch though, probably at the same level as the Seduza, which Cervelo reported as worse than the Felt line of bikes but better than others like Kuota, Scott and so forth.

a softride. But that would probably have to be used. Still more aero than just about everything else out there.

I’d prob get the P2 if I had the $$ though.

good luck
Barry

Only if you ride your bikes without a saddle and have the seatpost heads exposed to the wind

What, you’re telling me you don’t ride like that? Less stuff on the bike means less drag, right?

Not always…in the case I was talking about above, less stuff may have meant MORE drag…it all depends on what gets exposed that normally isn’t

More like $1500. A friend got it for $1250 ($1290 shipped) yesterday on Bonktown.

Can’t believe no one has brought up the king of cheap bikes. The MOTOBECANE sold by BikesDirect.com.

$1,299 for the complete bike. What a bargain.

I can see that bike being great for most people for sure. ITs a modest upgrade for all those people on road bikes, hybrids and mountain bikes for sure.

That was the new 09 model tested, not the ones getting closed out on Bonktown and wherever else.

Used, indeed. In this economy, it’s sure to be the hottest selling bike at Kona.

Last year’s Felt S32 for $699?

Cervelo P2 then P1.

Giant’s Trinity Alliance, Cervelo’s P1, QRoo Kilo & Tequilo (also Seduza), and any Leader’s frames. Those’d be my picks.
