Kestrel talon SL aero seatpost Q

anyone have this? looks like the only diff between the ‘sl’ and the ‘sl aero’ is the seatpost. i’m assuming this just changes the ‘effective’ angle and swaps in an aero seatpost. any chance the seatpost can be adjusted for the ‘forward set’ and also to a more relaxed road position(a la cervelo)…or is it always in the forward position?

The frame is the same. Kestrel includes an insert (carbon fiber) that allows you to use a standard round seatpost. Remove the insert and you can use the Kestrel aero seatpost. The Kestrel seatpost allows you to mount the seat in a forward position (76 degrees) or a normal slack road position (73 degrees?). The old Kestrel seatpost is a boat anchor. They are now making it in carbon fiber. I am assuming that the carbon fiber model is lighter? I am running a Thomson setback seatpost on my Talon and can achieve the same thing.
