Pleading ignorance here. Can you keep the finishers tape you run through at IM or do they grab it back for the next guy to come through the chute?
It is used over and over again.
There are at least 2 sets of tape.
The volunteers do a really good job of sprinting along the finish line to make sure everybody gets to “break” the tape during high-contention finishing times.
Ok. I kinda figured that but I thought I’d run it by the group. Thanks.
Go for it, just make sure you have enough in the tank to out run them when they try to get it bak.

p.s. my best souvenier is a huge flag from an Ironman, ummmmm my friend paid a volunteer for two of them.

I have it on the wall above my trophy board. I have all the drinking cups and waterbottles that I used in that particular race.
I had to wash the sponges, though. They started to reek and my SO threatened to throw them away.
Although it will hurt the resale value, it might turn out to be an advantage when I take the collection to the next month.
