Keauhou Kona Triathlon update

Aloha to all,

I understand there are rumors that the Keauhou Kona Triathlon, scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2004, has been cancelled. Not true! I’m the Registration Director, and trust me, all is full speed ahead for this Kona style race. Yes, we’ve had to find new sources from which to rent some of our equipment–but that’s being handled. So no worries. Race Director Joe Ackles’ Director Team is excited about the upcoming event, and we’re planning some Hawaiian-style entertainment to help continue KKT’s tradition as a fabulous and fun race with special aloha. Registration will be Saturday, May 29, noon til 3 at the Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort, our official host hotel and finish line location. Within the next week I’ll have firm details about the registration date for the 2005 race. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming back old friends and meeting new ones at registration and at the race. More details soon, but I wanted to get this out there to dispel any concerns that anyone has. Thanks for the update, I spoke to you about a week or two ago and Roch Frey, and layed some of the rumors to rest about the race being a no go. Thanks for all the help and the work you do to make this a quality race. Have a great day.
