The Keauhou Kona Triathlon, coming up Sunday, May 29, 2005, is available for registration starting at noon, Wednesday, June 16. Details and link to signup at www.keauhoutriathlon.com (click on 2005 race). Registration will be at www.timberlinetiming.com.
1.2 mile swim in Kailua Bay, 56 mile bike on Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy (The Queen K), 13.1-mile run south from Kailua Pier on Alii Drive (in 2005 it will include The Pit, and not include all the hills of Hokulia Bypass Road as in 2004). Athletes may enter individually or as part of a relay team. Prizes given to top overall, top age groupers, top Big Island finishers, top Clydesdales and Athenas, top relay teams.
