Ive just check the competitior list for Im Lanzarote and spotted Kai Hundertmarck is registered to race! Surely with his bike pedigree and fantastic Im Germany last year he should produce big things in Lanzarote and Kona.

It´s just that Kai is 5-10 minutes slower out of the water, so he won´t ever see Björn and Norman before the turnaround.

granted but such a talent on an island with terrrain like lanzarote could give him a large lead for the run- just remember Stadler in Oct!

No, it’s his first year as a pro. I looked at his race schedule and it looks like he is going to St. Croix in a week. This would be a good indication of things to come. He states that he worked a lot on his running over the winter.
Anyway, it will be interesting and hopefully exciting to watch him this year. Last year was last year.
