I think I found my answer: I think teh SL-K is just the “cheaper” version of the K-Force…

You are correct,the SL-K is like Ultegra whereas the K-Force is like Dura Ace. I had the SLK, just sold it at a bargain and bought Dura Ace instead.

Why did you get the Dura-Ace instead of K-Force?

For all intends and purposes there is no difference. same bearings, virtually the same stiffness, virtually the same weight. CSC rode SLKs, seemed good enough for them.
