Wuff…that is beautiful!

It’s actually pretty interesting- looks like they can make any geometry you want. I wonder if BMC has thought of sponsoring a top triathlon pro? It would certainly help get the word out about their custom program. I think that is a beautiful bike.

Believed to be in the region of $20,000 for the frameset
I think it’s one of those:

I wonder if you can find that headset/fork anywhere on Nashbar, Performance, etc ![]()

I think calling it a “3P” is funny. Actually, it demeans the concept by suggesting it is a rip -off.
Since they’re not showing it with the Z99 wheelset, I’ll bet you could score that baby for around $10K and then upgrade the wheels for Christmas!
The colors are much better than the Phonak puke green.

It’s 7,999 Euro for the frameset. Actually, the frame isn’t really custom geometry, in fact it is pretty much a very fixed geometry. what they can adjust is the seatmast length (which you would normally do with your seatpost) and the “stem” length (which you would normally do with your stem and spacers. They can’t adjust the angles of the frame or the toptube length or anything like that. So the 73 degree seattube angle is fixed, and you can’t use a forward seatpost on it. Maybe they can jimmy-rig some sort of extension for you.
Hello Gerard,
Congrats on a very impressive season, results wise. One thing on the BMC website they ask for saddle to BB set back and at least give the impression that this is made to measure.

gregk,
The seat is too high/low. The owner/rider must get lower!
Nice bike though. Shizno is right, however, If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
At $20,000, could these be the most expensive seconds ever saved?
How stupid would most of us look on this 20K+ bike? Stuuuuuuupid. Of course I would love to own this bike, but I have to admit that passing someone riding it in a race would be even nicer.
