While checking the sunrise/sunset times for Louisville on August 26th I was surprised to see that sunrise occurs at 7:06am. It certainly will be “light out” by 7:00 but I can’t think of any other IM venue that begins the race before sunrise.

Well actually ironman florida is still scheduled to be 7:00am BUT with the changes made to daylight savings time this year extending one extra week
this year so time won’t change week before sunrise
would have been 6:06am but since time isn’t changed it will be 7:06am but will still have some light(civil twilight when sun is still 6 degres below horizon so you get light before sunrise but how much I don’t know.
