We’ll, I recently built my “dream bike” and thought I’d let you all know what the wheels I received weigh.
The 909 disk is 925 grams while the 909 front is 535 grams. Both are 650c and the rear is Shimano compatible.
The disk is heavier than Zipp says, but the front lighter. Overall the wheelset is 12 grams less than Zipp’s published figures, or 1460g vs 1472g.
The Zipp Ti skewers are 43 and 45 grams.
Wheels and skewers were weighed on a 5 lb digital postal scale.
I guess I’m a weight weenie since I weighed each item as I built my bike. The frame is a 53cm Typhoon, Ouzo Aero pro fork, Cane Creek brakes, Syntace C2 clip-on and bullhorn bars, Terry Ti liberator seat, American Classic seat post, ITM Millenium stem, Syntace brake levers, everything else is Dura-Ace. Total bike weight is 17lb 11.2 ounces. I guess I could shave an ounce or so if I swapped out the seat post with a carbon one, but there isn’t much left if I want to use tried and true components.
