Maltodextrin based drink (Sustained Energy, Ironfuel)
Gatorade / Hammer Gel mixture.

Don’t skip solid food for breakfast.
Sip on some Gatorade or call A-Rod and get some ‘boli.’

Personally for me it’s always a Starbucks latte… non-fat.

It’s not liquid, but if it’s easy on the stomach calories you’re after, baby food. (Not the strained peas, but the fruits, etc.)
We use to eat it at swim meets in between events. Good stuff.

Ensure for pre-race calories. Dilute sports drink for the
hour or so before the swim.
That being said, I need to cut down on my pre-race fluids. Too
many times I come into T1 needing to execute P1.

I’ve been using Enusre as a pre-race meal for several years. Works great for me. I usually have butterfles before a race and find it easier to drink my calories.
Chocolate soymilk always works well for me pre-workout or race. I subsist on that stuff ![]()

Very interesting. This is assuming that you have obtained sufficient carbs/fat/protein several hours before the race?
