All of the sudden my Joule 1.0 won’t find my G3 hub. I have recently updated my hub to the latest firmware.
Any ideas???

check batteries in hub and head unit is always the first thing to try
.
I’m doing that now. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
you may have t0 re-find it after a fw update
.
Turns out both hub and joule computer batteries were dead or dying. I replaced both and all is well. I did have to re-pair my hub with the computer.
How often do you usually change your batteries? I’m thinking 6 months to a year.

3 to 6 months more like. Depends how much you ride.

I change my hub batteries monthly when I ride a lot.

monthly at least if you leave them in a cold garage. i got much longer last season once i started bringing the bike in the warm house after each ride.
I ride as much as any average typical Ironman age grouper and my bike stays inside year round. I am on the trainer during the cold months so it looks like I might be on the higher end of the 3 to 6 months.
This is my first season with power. I am surprised how fast those batteries drain.
Also helps if you use quality batteries, not the cheap discount variety.

Powertaps next update should definitely be a rechargeable hub battery option
