I got several emails from the good man himself. The plan all along was to stay healthy and use this race as a long training day and to gauge fitness. He thus decided to stop at a poutine (or french fry) stand at the 15km mark. He was in no hurry. At that point race officials said he had to drop out or be disqualified for outside assistance…Jonny ordered another poutine and called it a day
tom’s version is almost 100% right…
plan is to be healthy… it s not that easy to get back to competitive fitness… and i m not there yet unless i race in the women pro division 
i still have lots of work to do in all 3 sports as i m not there yet… i try yesturday and had a clear picture of where i was at. I will keep trucking along…get some good training with dr tommy and hopefully represent in a better way my team TBB.
rode with chrissie for 115km yesturday…she is one strong girl… i keep a good legal 10m distance all the way!!! i figure that if i could stay with her all day, i would crack the top 10 overall, i wasnt that far off in my prediction of what she would do…!!!

your “stay healthy” touching me - I’m pretty much in similar position (although I can’t “stay” at the moment - literally, only sit or better lay down : ).
How are you, is it your stomach? What did/do you do right now (sorry if I missed a lot)? Wondering if you ever got to read Paul Bragg (“The miracle of fasting”, others). I trying it right now, will let you know my experience if you want…

I’m still here in the Philippines, they seem to have alot of the “LadyBoys” over here. I’m sure you could fly over and get your parts fixed right up for Jonnyo, just bring a few hundred dollars and that should cover it.
Can you really get poutine in Australia?
As long as you remember that in Oz, you make poutine with chips, not fries, yes, I’m sure you can…they have cheese and gravy also.
Queues de castor may be harder to find though.

Cheese is not the same as cheese curds. Poutine is an art and should not be trivialized by claims that anyone outside Quebec can make it right. Beaver tails are just fried dough, carny folk around the world do that just fine.

Oh, I dunno. Some friends of mine have a party every St. Baptiste day, and they make poutine just fine. (Although, they are ex-pat Canucks, so…)

You can call it what you want actually…it’s not like it’s real cheese anyway. I don’t think that stuff has ever seen a cow in its life

I ate poutine about 3-4 times a week from the street vendors while working downtown Ottawa… ahh… fond memories of heartburn…
I’ve seen it made, cheese curds are just cheese before it becomes cheese. It really comes from cows.
It’s actually the part that doesn’t become cheese…
