Jobs report - 321K more jobs

Thanks, November GOP victory! (right?)

Thanks for moving the goalposts to make it easier to lie to the sheeple?

Oh and the liar in chief just talked about it. Its too bad no one asked about the 9 million no longer working.

That’s why people were able to buy all those guns that Bull W. was talking about.

That’s a lot of new McDonalds opening up

At least those Mickey Ds are paying more better:

ā€œHourly earnings rose by 0.4 percent in November, double what economists had been expecting even as the number of hours people were working ticked up a tenth as wellā€
.

You are aware that the boomer generation is retiring? We will never achieve labor force participation rates like we had 10 years ago (at least not for the foreseeable future). It’s long past time you realized that.

Both of us can’t wait until 2016 when a ā€œRā€ gets into office and all of these positive indicators become positive again.

It’s long past time you realized that.

My only hope is that policy makers start to realize that.

I wanted to add another factoid here as well.

Labor participation rate today is equal to what it was in 1977. In 1977 the percentage of households with both spouses working was ~52-53%. Today that number is 67%. So what this means is that we have a concentration of jobs in a smaller number of households as well. So in 1977 with a 62.7% labor participation rate we have ~27% more households with income then we do today. That’s a HUGE dichotomy and a MASSIVE problem. Sure boomers are retiring, but also fewer households have income from jobs.

Its time you realized that they have never talked about those 9million and use bullshit excuses like you just did to cover up their lies. Pull your head from your ass or the sand, whatever the case may be.

Hey, I’m sorry that improving economic data causes such bitterness for you. I can’t imagine your response when an actual downturn happens …

No doubt. At this point high potential income individuals tend to marry, leading to even greater skewing between high and low income households. It’s an ongoing problem.

Lies…cover ups…Yada, yada, yada.

Where did you get that 9 million no longer in the labor force number from? Oh, you mean to tell me the very same monthly report that contains the jobs number as well as the unemployment rate?

Pretty poor job the government is doing concealing that number by publishing it every month.

Maybe not McDonalds but it could be there are really only 160.5 new jobs. I don’t know anyone that is being hired full time.

Where I work, they are hiring two part timers for almost all full time positions.

Yep its smoking out there. Can’t you feel it?

Certainly has improved over the past five years in my neck of the woods. You were just in Marin County, was it smoking there?

Matt, could you explain your 67 % of households with both spouses working? That seems unlikely with the number of divorced households, single moms etc. I think it unlikely that 67% had 2 adults let alone 2 working. Is it really this high? Also how much of this is kids who live at home after college while they pay school debt.

ETA, Google found this… none of this approaches 67%.

The U.S. Census Bureau offers income data by household and individual. 42 % of households have two income earners; thus making households’ income levels higher than personal income levels. The share of married-couple families with children where both parents worked was 59.1 percent.

it is smoking in the brain centers. I don’t know if you ever venture out to fly over country but it ain’t smoking out yonder.

Fly over country pretty much starts at Visalia, right?
