And the QB roulette has started.
Bears release Cutler.
Cowboys are trying to trade Romo rather than release him.
Johnny Football signs with the Raiders.
Ok the last one was a lie but you know it’s going to happen.

I about shit my pants when I read that last one.
Story yesterday was Romo was getting released. Did that change since then?
Houston just made one the greatest trades of all time! They gave the Browns a second round pick to take Brock Osweiler. Rumor is the Browns will cut Brock so they essentially bought a second round pick for $17M.
I heard today that houston and Denver want him. So now Dallas is trying to trade him.
Cutler to SF? Any takers? I got to give BIG PROPS to Kirk Cousins. Signs for HUGE bucks as a mediocre QB and then asks to get traded. What giant cojones he must have. I wish I was him. Just for the bucks, not the cojones. I already had them…

He’s the only thing that kept the Skins from having a losing record last year, not sure he was completely mediocre, but his team was. He’s third on this stat list for 2016 for total yards, middle of the pack in QB rating, TDs, INT, and completion percentage. But he was the best thing about the Skins on offensive. They were foolish for not signing him a big contract instead of the franchise tag.
The management of the team is in total disarray, I expect an epic meltdown this season.
His cajones are tiny compared to Osweiler’s- who is the next in a long line of Browns QBs (of a second round pick) and still gets $16M!!!. (edit… maybe they just want his contract not him, sounds like the making of Browns history)
What’s JSA going to do about the memes?

Damn, it was easy to forget about Brock. Another guy that stumbled into a gold mine with talent that is still TBD.

Sounds like they’re shopping him and a late-round 2017 pick for a pick next year, they said they’d eat half his 2017 salary. Browns are doing this rebuild thing the right way: complete teardown and using all available avenues to collect talent. 22 picks in the next two drafts including eight in the top-2 rounds…as of now.
Makes a ton of sense for Houston, too. They couldn’t afford the cap hit and also couldn’t afford to keep him on the roster. Better to cut their losses and figure out QB now, while their window is open. That D is scary good, Hopkins is all world, they just need a QB to be serious contenders.
Sounds like the Jets are the only team interested in Cutler–at least from what I’ve read. That’d be a match made in heaven, that franchise and that player are made for each other.
Jets also cut Revis…god I love seeing them have to tear down their entire team and start all over.

So if they don’t get Romo, what’s the plan? And if they do get him, well, how long until he breaks and they need another QB? I wonder if Vegas has an over under for Romo’s playing expectancy?

I don’t know, they’re saying they’re not interested in Romo but that could just be a smoke screen. Maybe Cousins? a trade for Garoppolo? I’m sure they’re not expecting to hand the reigns to a rookie so it’s gotta be one of those established guys.
I’m not saying Romo is the end-all be-all for the Texans, only that the Osweiler trade made sense for both sides. And while Romo is made of glass, if he’s healthy come the postseason and Houston has a similar roster to today I think that’s a heck of a team.
With a healthy Watt and Romo and some semblance of a run game, they win the AFC south easily.

the memes still work - the problem is that the Bears just cut one of the best QB’s the Packers ever had.

I’m starting to think the Browns might actually have some smart people running their organization. I don’t understand why more teams don’t trade down in the draft for more pics.

Houston has shown they are willing to take risks at QB so I think they’ll either over pay for Romo or offer too much in a trade.
Don’t know what you mean about signing a great contract. They put the franchise tag on a QB that passed for 9,000 yards the last two seasons on a team that had no running game and no defense. First time in 20 years they have had consecutive winning seasons.
And the moron in chief lowballs him so bad he might as well play the on the franchise tag.
Moron in chief decides to get rid of the GM that has been in charge for, yep the two year winning streak.
Why in the world would anybody with any self respect want to stay in DC?
Snyder and Allen hate Cousins and it shows with how they have treated him. He reminds everybody of how Shannahan didn’t want RG3 and it eats at them.

It’s staggering how dumb the Jets are. After years of flailing around with shitty QB’s you’d think they’d learn their lesson. God I hope they sign Cutler just for the comedic effect.
