I wanted something cleaner and more simple looking than my Profile Jammer GT’s so I swapped the the left and right sides, flipped them over and cut off the ends were your hands were supposed to go and this is how it turned out. Seems to work well so far.
I hope the pictures show up (first time posting pics)
I put GTs on a couple of weeks ago and still can’t get used to them. Seems like they don’t stick up high enough so I feel like I have to reach down to grab the bars, which requires a wrist cock that I’m guessing I won’t want to hold for an extended period.
How do your cut off versions feel? Do you have to reach down to grab the bars?
Uhm, I’d put the right tube on the left armrest and vice-versa. Looking from the top, they would be pointing to the middle instead of the sides. It would look cooler
I had the same feeling as you did. This arrangement feels much better to me and they feel really great on a long steady climb, you can get better leverage on them.
I switched the left and right side so the tips angle slightly out because I like to keep my elbow pads narrow and this position is better on my wrists. Plus I use Syntace streamliners on my race bike which have a similar position.
