I’m starting to be happy I’m not showing up race day. I think the only chance for a cooler race is if it rains all day. It was brutal in the sun yesterday.
Glad I’ve been doing tons of trainer rides in the garage with a long sleeve shirt and no fan. It’ll be my only advantage.

I’m just a little south in St. Augustine for the winter. I think the weather is fairly similar to JAX so what would concern me more than water temp is the unforgiving wind that shows up from time to time.
Two weeks from race day:
Tomorrow’s forecasted high temp is 75° with 90% chance of rain and possible thunderstorms.
Today’s forecast for downtown Jacksonville is 95°.
10 Day forecasts are out and forecasted high right now for May 16th is 86° to 90° depending on the weather site.
I work downtown and just back got from a meeting. The run is going to be hot, stagnant air. Can’t wait.
