Ha, ha, no, when I read your post I thought “good to know it bothered someone else too”. I probably should have made my comment by mentioning I agree with you. It got to the point that it was very distracting. That being said, I like Joe as a host.

Agreed. Joe is a surprisingly (to me) good host with interesting questions. i would prefer he’d work on making his questions more concise and letting the other person elaborate, instead of elaborating the question out himself… but he seems to be getting better at that already.
And i hope he works on eliminating the overabundant ‘like, like, like’ … Interviewing and public speaking are skills and it may take some time to hone that a bit. But i hope he tries because i feel like he’s got a future on the broadcast side.
That was the best Taylor interview yet. She’s improved her communication skills and organizing her thoughts, as people on the spectrum can struggle with.

Would only be useful (to the moto driver as an alert) when they are ahead by xx metres filming the lead rider. That may be value enough. Blocken’s work suggests 30m (iirc) where the draft benefit from the moto is the same or less than the draft from another rider 12m ahead.(50m for a 20m draft rule)

Honestly, I then completely forgot he was blocked. Since then, as Jack mentioned, we’ve met at T100 London and Dubai 2024, talked it through, and there’s no drama, it was just a badly timed joke, that’s all.

Well to be fair if you count also all the continental races I think they organize way more events than IM.
On a different note, it would be great to understand from @JackKelly-TTH what is his current relationship with PTO/T100: he said a few weeks ago that he was going to commentate a couple of the races, but then couldn’t be bothered to take long haul flights (?!), now calls Sam Renouf as a former boss, then he’s very critical of the org, then he announces an alternative stream - I assume with T100 approval.

you are aware until a few years ago ironman actually organised quite a few of their big races such as Hamburg which is now organised by dtu when the ironman contract run out like 2 or 3 years ago cant remember.
ironman had bought the company that organised world series races.
you need to multiply those lines by a substantial number if you consider all the different races within certain competitions (e.g. Long distance world champs included duathlon, cross dua/tri, triathlon, aquathlon, aquabike) and Age Groupers
