You’re dead to me.

I knew the Spirit would move you sooner or later …
GO GO TEBOW!!!
iI am too, but only because I like to root for the underdog. And I hate Bill Belechick and the patriots as much as I hate the steelers.
I have to admit, I am too. Put aside his personal beliefs, and he is a true competitor - that’s what I like about him. The dude just flat out plays to the best of his abilities - sometimes he shines, sometimes not. Bu, give him credit, a lot of people would have long ago cracked under the withering criticism that he has received (see JaMarcus Russell).

You had me until Rudy. I will be rooting for him b/c I really like the kid, even though he is a terrible NFL QB who throws a football like a javelin. But, as a person and an athlete, I cannot understand how anyone could not like him. But, I hate Rudy. What a stupid fucking story. I like the Rocky analogy, so, I am going to pretend you did not say that last part.

Go Go Tebow!

Tebow has God on his side . . . but Rocky had Mick!

Back when Charlie Weiss was at Notre Dame I was struck by how I was rooting for Michigan during the ND vs. UM game. I thought it was because I disliked ND more than UM. Then after Weiss left I was back to wanting ND to beat UM like a rented mule. Turns out it was Weiss I hated more than Michigan.
If Tim Tebow were to get in a cage fight with Charlie Weiss, I would root for Charlie. F**k Tebow.

Oh yea, me too. If they make the Super Bowl it will be the biggest thing ever…
…but I highly doubt they defeat the Evil Empire this weekend.

I love it. He goes through all of that and then Tebow throws a strike.
Best QB rating in the playoffs so far.
Record-setting performance.
But there’s no room for a different throwing motion?
Too funny!
GO GO TEBOW!

In all fairness, I know for a fact that I (and I highly suspect that you) could throw a 20 yard “strike” to a wide open receiver. There was nothing about that throw that was anything but pedestrian.

Not so sure about that … timing was spot on … overtime … playoff game … your career as a QB largely hanging in the balance … pretty impressive for a horrible NFL QB.
I’m not sayin’ … I’m just sayin’
Go Go Tebow!
I just can’t see the Broncos getting past The Hoodie and Brady this weekend. The Patriots clearly will not make the same mistake that the Steelers did and they learned a lot about stopping Denver’s run game after a horrendous first quarter at Mile High just a few weeks back.
Denver 10 New England 31.

Not at all impressive for a first round draft pick. I think even Jamarcus Russel could have made that throw …
Again, I love the kid. I would love to have him on my team (but not to replace Aaron Rodgers). ![]()
But, let’s not kid ourselves into believing he can throw a great ball. Could he develop? Sure. Will he? Depends on how serious Elway is in claiming he wants to work with him.
No you can’t!
I have played D 1 Football and had a cup of coffee in the NFL. They make is look a lot easier (Even Tebow) than it is. Remember not only are you throwing the ball 20 yards down field to a moving object, but you have people defending that object, and others trying to hit you at the same time. You have to know where to throw it. In addition a 20 yard pass is often a 30 or 40 yard throw. 5 to 7 step drop (+5 to 10 yards) an angle to the reciever ( +4 to 20 yard) etc.
IT IS NOT THAT EASY, or else you would be doing it.
This also goes for field goals. That 25 yard chip shot ain’t easy.
Just like Crowie running 5:25’s at Kona in the heat, wind, etc he may make it look easy, but as we all know it ain’t.

It’s a lot harder than you think. Even professional QB’s miss - just look at some of the dirt and air balls that Tebow threw. I love Tebow and would have a sex change to marry him, but he does miss a lot of passes.

Sure I could. As to your comment that it’s not that easy, or else I would be doing it, I never said I could do it on a consistent basis. Just like I know, for a fact, that I can kick a 25 yard field goal. Doesn’t mean I could do it with any amount of consistency or in adverse conditions. Doesn’t change the fact that I have done it, therefore, I know I “can” do it. I also know I can hit a half-court shot in bball. May take me 100-200 tries, but, I have done it, therefore, I know I can do it.
Don’t read anything more into my original comment than is right there in black and white.
